Morning Tai Chi By The Retired

What’s a cultural tradition from another country that you wish existed in yours?

Tai Chi

20 years ago in Guangzhou, China — I was on a prayer journey and woke up early one morning to pray.

Stepping outside, I was stunned by the sight: over 100 elderly men and women in matching bright red Tai Chi uniforms, moving in perfect harmony around a beautiful pond with classic red bridges. It was spontaneous, graceful, and almost magical — like the whole park was breathing together. No instructor visible, just pure beauty and discipline at sunrise.

One of the most unforgettable moments of my life. The retired age people doing Tai Chi together in China is something else. Would love to be surprised by it again
